IVRI

Overview
Ivri (Ivriana Wright) is a rising indie artist known for blending multiple genres into her own unique sound. At first, she was a faceless poster, but as she gained popularity, she stepped into her new role. She initially started out with frequent collaboration projects, but the last few years have seen her solo journey take off.
Primary genres
Indie Rock, Alternative Rock, Indietronica, Indie Pop, Shoegaze, Lofi Pop, Psychedelia, Bedroom Pop
The Star Factory
‘The Star Factory’ is Ivri’s breakout EP. Despite releasing many singles and shorter projects beforehand, this project gave her more traction. I think this is where Ivri really began to develop her sound. Although her earlier tracks like ‘Shapes&sizes’ or ‘Robotic Intimacy’ are fun, this track list gave us something more.
Expanding on the Electro-styled Indie Rock and Bedroom Pop, this project can put together sounds you don’t often hear together. Stylistically, she is often compared to artists like Wisp and Violet Vira, but I truly think she’s taking her own direction.
The Star Factory standout tracks
Ivri’s debut album
Ivri’s debut album, ‘The Theory Of You’ came out in August 2025 and pushed her experimental tendencies further. Filled with electro-rock production and a thick atmosphere, it’s her most complete-sounding project yet. Despite having a shorter runtime (26 min 21 sec), the album is filled with moments of energy along with memorable production.
‘Tower Of Memories’ was a viral single that saw lots of traction through TikTok, currently sitting at over 60 million streams. My favourite Ivri tracks have come through this project, including songs such as ‘Slip And Let Go’, ‘Erosion’, and ‘Fuzzy’. These songs showcase that it’s not all in the production; she can be lyrically strong when it calls for it.
The Theory Of You standout tracks
‘Slip And Let Go’ is my personal favourite from Ivri. A track rooted in Indie Rock more so than her others, this is one of her strongest lyrical performances. Her distorted vocals add a layer of emotion to a track that’s already telling an important message. The chorus of this track is one that builds and crashes back and forth with heavy guitar and drums. There are still her signature electro moments throughout the song, just a lot more subtle. The second verse picks up the pace of the song with a second fast-paced guitar and a faster drum tempo. The variety throughout the song allows it to be constantly engaging through multiple listens.
‘Fuzzy’ starts explosively with heavy drums and multiple-layered guitars. Probably her most aggressive song, this wall of sound continues from start to finish, some portions growing even further. Ivri’s vocals are almost drowned out by the production as the track draws to a close, fully expanding into the finale. This song can be taken as a commentary on either mental health or the effects of drugs if either is left untreated. However, it’s left vague enough for the listener to connect with it through whatever interpretation they leave with.
‘Erosion’ is a cinematic song. A soft start, then a movie-esque spacious chorus. A song with very abstract lyrics, it matches the production. The second half of the track is filled with distorted, stuttered production and multiple Electro Rock sounds swirling through the instrumental. This part of the track is the first time Ivri has experimented with a more aggressive vocal delivery. For an intro track, this sets the tone for the album very well.
Singles and future releases
Between project cycles, Ivri tends to release a lot of singles, most of which don’t make it onto the next project. Her most recent release, ‘Noise’, shows her going out of her comfort zone vocally, adding a harsher rasp into the chorus. Although not perfect yet, it’s another layer to add to her music, further diversifying her palette.
Going forward, Ivri has stated she does not plan to be genre-specific. Whether it be previous sounds or new ones, her goal is to keep creating music that aligns with herself. Her art style has become a signature aesthetic within her singles, all sharing the same style as seen on the right. With a European tour and new snippets, more music will be coming, and we will be sure to cover her new releases here.
Discography lore
Ivri is an artist who creates a universe within her music. There is lore throughout her discography, especially in her EP and album. Key characters and locations are introduced in both projects. Listening to her music with this in mind can be a very rewarding experience, putting the whole story into scope. I won’t explain the lore here as it’s designed for fans to connect with personally, but I recommend looking into it!
